LG OLED TV Named Top TV by US Consumer Media

  LG Electronics' OLED evo has been selected as the best TV by U.S. consumer media ahead of the opening of the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, CES 2024, in Las Vegas, USA. According to industry sources, the U.S. consumer media Consumer Reports selected the 'Best TVs of 2024' as the new year began. In the 'Best TVs Overall' category, the 2023 models LG OLED evo 65G3 and 65C3 secured the 1st and 5th positions, respectively. Consumer Reports praised the 65G3 model, which claimed the top spot, stating, 'It received the highest overall score, especially in terms of HDR quality,' and commended its 'excellent sound quality.' The 65C3 product, securing the 5th position, also received acclaim for having 'an exceptionally outstanding picture quality. Hyundai Ioniq 5 named Singapore's Car of the Year

Hyundai Motor's electric SUV, Ioniq 5, has been selected as the Singapore Car of the Year 2023 by the prominent local daily, The Straits Times.   Hyundai Ioniq 5 named "Singapore Car of the Year 2023" by The Straits Times, marking Hyundai's first win since the award's inception in 2003. The evaluation considered practicality, economy, performance, design, and more, with the Ioniq 5 securing the top spot with a total score of 399 points.   One of the judges for the Car of the Year, Lynn Tan, described the Ioniq 5 as an "all-rounder" with a "retro appeal, futuristic design, and surprisingly practical space." Another judge, Dr. Kong Yongyao, referred to it as a "remarkable triumph of imagination, ambition, and execution." With this award, Hyundai Motor aims to strengthen the image of being a "leading electric car brand" in Singapore, in conjunction with the "Hyundai Motor Group Singapore Global Innovation Center

LG Electronics' electric vehicle charger receives UL certification

  LG Electronics announced on the 29th that its electric vehicle charger has received certification from UL, a leading safety testing and certification organization in the United States.   After manufacturing electric vehicle chargers for the domestic market since May, LG Electronics plans to expand into international markets starting with the United States next year.   LG Electronics has received certification for electric vehicle charging standards and safety-related items, including the 'UL Standard for Safety for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (UL 2594).' The certified product is an attached slow charger (11kW AC EV Charger) scheduled for release in the U.S. market in the first half of next year. RRA Re-Announces the Application of Simplification of Test Items for USB or Battery-Powered Devices

  Through the conformity assessment announcement in 2015, USB or battery-powered devices were permitted to simplify their conformity assessment tests. South Korea-GCC FTA Negotiations Concluded

On December 28th in Seoul, a joint declaration was signed during the South Korea-GCC Ministerial Meeting, confirming the finalization of the South Korea-GCC FTA negotiations, with Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary-General of the GCC. The South Korea-GCC FTA is South Korea's 25th FTA and the second one concluded after the Korea-UAE CEPA signed in October with an Arab country.   South Korea primarily imports energy and resource-related items, including oil, LNG, and aluminum, from the GCC. On the other hand, it exports manufactured goods such as automobiles and parts, machinery, and weapons. HD Hyundai collaborates with Google Cloud to jointly build an AI platform

  HD Hyundai is accelerating digital industry innovation using "generative artificial intelligence (AI)" through a collaboration with Google Cloud. HD Hyundai announced that it will strengthen strategic cooperation with Google Cloud to build its own AI platform. Through this collaboration, HD Hyundai plans to introduce generative AI technology into its core businesses, including shipbuilding and construction equipment. Google Cloud has committed to providing a variety of solutions to HD Hyundai, including the enterprise-customized AI platform "Vertex AI" with generative capabilities.
