Samsung to introduce Spam Message Box for automatic spam text message filtering.
Samsung to introduce Spam Message Box for automatic spam text message filtering.
Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA)
announced that they have signed a business agreement with Samsung Electronics
on October 18th at the Suwon Digital Center for the development and operation
of malicious text message filtering services.
KISA and Samsung have signed an agreement
where KISA will handle spam data analysis and legality checks, while Samsung
will develop and distribute spam message filtering services for Galaxy mobile
devices.
Once the filtering service is implemented,
Samsung mobile users will gain access to a spam message box, and suspicious
messages classified as spam will be automatically filtered and stored in a
separate message box, similar to the spam inbox in email services.
The spam message box acts as an extra
filter to protect mobile users from potential illegal spam that might have been
missed by major telecom operators.
