The RRA has released the results of electromagnetic wave verification for the iPhone 12


On October 20, 2023, the RRA announced that all four models of iPhone 12 (iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 12 Pro Max) sold in Korea met the electromagnetic wave human protection standard.

This verification was conducted to alleviate the concerns of domestic users about electromagnetic waves, following the announcement by the French ANFR last month that the iPhone 12 exceeded the electromagnetic wave human protection standards.

Currently, RRA rigorously verifies the compliance with electromagnetic wave human protection standards through pre-launch suitability assessments for mobile phones available in the domestic market. Furthermore, in the future, RRA plans to strengthen electromagnetic wave safety management for major telecommunications equipment, including mobile phones, to address the public's concerns regarding electromagnetic radiation.
