KC Certification - EcoAS  |  K-RoHS | Recycling | K-WEEE

This is a program intended to promote the closed-loop recycling of electrical and electronic products and vehicles and minimize environmental loads by managing the entire lifecycle of products from design and production to disposal. The process includes restricting the use of hazardous substances, increasing the ease of recycling, and recycling waste substances.




▮Products subject to certification

Products that require post-management

50 items including refrigerator, electric water purifier, air conditioner, dehumidifier, TV, computer, monitor, printer, scanner, wired/wireless router, cellphone, washing machine, microwave, humidifier, iron, toaster, and coffee maker

Products that require pre-management

49 items including refrigerator, electric water purifier, air conditioner, dehumidifier, TV, computer, monitor, printer, scanner, wired/wireless router, cellphone, washing machine, microwave, humidifier, iron, and coffee maker; passenger vehicle, van (seating capacity of 9 or below), and cargo truck (small and compact)




▮Pre-management regulations

- Comply with harmful substance content standards and announce compliance: Electrical and electronic product and vehicle manufacturers and importers

- Comply with material and structure enhancement guidelines: Electrical and electronic product manufacturers and importers

- Comply with the annual recyclability rate and announce compliance: Vehicle manufacturers and importers

- Provide recycling information: Electrical and electronic product and vehicle manufacturers and importers



▮Post-management regulations

- Duty of recycling producers of electrical and electronic equipment to collect, transfer, and recycle

- Duty of distributors of electrical and electronic equipment to collect and transfer

- Observance of the rate for recycling end-of-life vehicles

 

You can file for your pre-management regulations (comply with harmful substance content standards and provide recycling information) and post-management regulations (write and submit the statement of recycling, transferring, and collecting electrical and electronic equipment and vehicles) online via the EcoAS website.
