Quantum Technology Standardization Forum Launches for Industry Advancements
On November 2, the National Institute of
Technology Standards (NITS) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy
launched the "Quantum Technology Standardization Forum" to discuss
standardization strategies to be pursued both domestically and internationally.
Quantum technology expects major advancements for AI, secure communication, material development, mineral exploration, and more. It enables high-speed computing and precise measurements, fostering innovation in various industries.
The Quantum Technology Standardization
Forum includes four sectors: computing, communication, sensing, and materials.
In the inaugural meeting, experts discussed international quantum technology
standardization roadmaps and future activities, including leadership in a newly
established International Standardization Committee.
