The KATS is driving the development of 19 national standards, including robots, electric vehicle chargers, and everyday services

KATS has announced plans to promote standard development for the improvement of public convenience and the welfare of vulnerable populations.

The plan is to enhance the quality and standardization of products and services such as everyday robots, electric vehicle chargers, and personal mobility platforms to improve convenience in daily life.

1. Through the standardization of performance criteria and evaluation methods for companion robots, we aim to enhance the convenience of living for single-person households and the elderly.

2. We plan to alleviate the inconvenience of difficulty in confirming the status of electric vehicles and chargers' malfunctions by standardizing the display content of errors that may occur during the electric vehicle charging process.

3. In order to improve the quality of personal mobility platform services, we are promoting standardization for service procedures and quality management.

Starting from November, we plan to proceed with the development of standards by gathering opinions from stakeholders for the finalized standardization projects.
