The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has announced regulations regarding the recall and disposal of hygiene products. These regulations are open for public comments until February 13, 2024. The proposed measures include the introduction of a new safety rating system for hygiene products and the establishment of detailed procedures for their recall and disposal.

- Definition of terms used in the recall process

- Establishment of procedures for inappropriate emergency notifications from testing and inspection agencies, as well as supervision and inspection agencies

- Establishment of Criteria and Justification for Hazard Rating

- Establishment of step-by-step operational procedures for government agencies and recall operators.
