Administrative Notice of Partial Amendment of Efficiency Management Equipment Operation Regulations

 

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has issued an administrative notice of partial amendments to the Efficiency Management Equipment Operation Regulations.

 

-Television receivers: reset efficiency rating criteria due to changes in KS standard consumption efficiency measurement method and expanded coverage due to increased penetration of large-screen, high-definition models

-Electric refrigerators: Reflected the resetting of efficiency rating criteria and the time required for retesting the reported model due to the planned change in the KS standard consumption efficiency measurement method.

-Electric cooling and heating equipment: integrated maintenance of electric cooling and heating equipment (integration of air conditioners, air conditioners, EHPs into air conditioners, air conditioners, and EHPs), establishment of technical standards for consumption efficiency, and unification of mid- to long-term target timeframes

 

- Remove series reporting allowance for multi-EHP systems

Allowed to report by series since '11, when model-by-model reporting was designated as efficiency management equipment in consideration of principles or product characteristics Report by model, same as other efficiency equipment

  Freepik The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that the revised Radio Wave Act Enforcement Decree, which relaxes regulations on radio wave utilization, will come into effect from March 26th. The main contents of the revised Radio Wave Act Enforcement Decree are as follows. 1. The full exemption of spectrum usage fees for small and medium-sized MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) has been extended until 2024. Starting from 2025, spectrum usage fees will be gradually imposed. 2. The Unified Wireless Station Inspection Schedule System will be implemented.   As of July 24, 2024, the applicant identification codes for the KC ID in electromagnetic certification have been updated. These codes, previously fixed at 3 digits, have been modified to accommodate both 3 and 4-digit formats.
