Korean RRA Introduces KS C 3350: A New Standard for SAR Measurement

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) has introduced KS C 3350, a newly established national standard for measuring the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). This standard will come into effect on December 16, 2024.

What is KS C 3350?

KS C 3350 provides guidelines for evaluating the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of wireless communication devices, such as portable transmitting wireless equipment, that are used near the human body.

Key Highlights of KS C 3350

This standard includes detailed specifications for:

  • Measurement systems used for SAR testing
  • SAR evaluation procedures
  • Measurement report requirements

The standard applies to wireless communication devices operating within the 4 MHz to 10 GHz frequency range.
