MOTIE issued an administrative notice on February 7, 2025, regarding a partial amendment to the Efficiency-Managed Equipment Operation Regulation. This amendment aims to improve the domestic efficiency management system by strengthening item-specific standards and integrating similar items to enhance energy savings.

  • Efficiency rating and MEPS upgrade for electric air conditioners, electric heating and cooling units, electric washing machines, and ballast-integrated lamps.
  • Integration of multi-electric heat pump systems into multi-type electric air conditioners and heating/cooling units.
