Korea’s MFDS Expands Mandatory Labeling Requirements for Quasi-Drugs


The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) strengthened labeling obligations for menstrual products, masks, and bandages on April 14th. 

Previously, indicating certain information such as efficacy, usage, and dosage was recommended, but now all labeling details must be mandatorily printed on the container or packaging. Furthermore, the MFDS recommends prioritizing the placement of these details on the most visible, largest surface area of the product.
