Korea Harmonizes KC 60335-2-29 with IEC Standards for Household Battery Chargers
On December 23, 2025, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) issued an announcement No. 2025-370 , proposing a revision to the safety standard KC 60335-2-29 (Household and Similar Electrical Appliances – Safety – Part 2-29: Particular Requirements for Battery Chargers). This revision aims to update the safety standards in alignment with international standards. KATS is collecting public opinions on the proposed amendment until February 3, 2026.
