Raised RF Power Limits for 6 GHz Indoor Wi-Fi in Korea (Effective Immediately)
To support the advancement of wireless communication technologies and the development of new industrial infrastructure, the current unlicensed wireless equipment ( Radio equipment for radio stations that can be established without reporting ) has been partially revised under Notification No. 2026-9 . The amendment relaxes the indoor RF power limits for wireless access systems, including Wi-Fi devices operating in the 6 GHz frequency band. The changes took effect immediately upon promulgation on February 10, 2026.
