The amendment relaxes the indoor RF power limits for wireless access systems, including Wi-Fi devices operating in the 6   GHz frequency band. The changes took effect immediately upon promulgation on   February   10,   2026. On January 8, 2026, the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) issued Announcement No.2026-16 , proposing an amendment to the current MSIT Notification of unlicensed wireless equipment . The amendment aims to ease the RF power limits for the 6   GHz frequency band used by the latest Wi-Fi technologies. Public opinions will be received until January 28, 2026.
