When adding a new model name (series model) to an existing product that has already obtained KC certification through the RRA conformity assessment process, a change notification may be submitted without additional testing, provided that certain conditions are met. To add a model without additional testing, the electrical circuits and structure of the basic model and the series model to be added must be identical, and there must be no changes that affect the applicable conformity assessment requirements. Korea will strengthen energy efficiency standards for clothes dryers and household gas boilers, effective October 1, 2026, as part of efforts to improve its energy efficiency management system. This amendment aims to promote energy conservation, with the key changes outlined below. Key Changes ① Clothes Dryers Both the energy efficiency rating criteria and the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) will be strengthened.
