Hyundai Motor Group's Participation in ADEX 2023

Hyundai Motor Group announced its participation in the 'Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2023)' held in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, with its subsidiaries, Supernal, Kia, Hyundai Wia, and Hyundai Rotem.

 

Hyundai Group presented an interior concept model for their upcoming Urban Air Mobility (UAM) vehicle, aiming for a 2028 market release. The 5-seat cabin design, inspired by butterfly biology, is created with ergonomic features, incorporating carbon fiber. The electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) concept emphasizes Hyundai's eco-friendly approach.


Kia unveiled the world's first hydrogen fuel cell military drone concept, capable of performing various missions such as equipment delivery, reconnaissance, and surveillance. They also showcased a long-range hydrogen fuel cell multicopter drone and the EV9 military concept car with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities for reliable power supply.

 

Kia, along with Hyundai Rotem and Hyundai WIA, set up a joint exhibition hall. Hyundai WIA showcased ground weapon systems, including the Vehicle-mounted Active Defense System (ADS), 81mm mortar, lightweight 105mm self-propelled howitzer, K2 main battle tank, and K9 self-propelled howitzer.

 

Hyundai Rotem displayed a 30-ton wheeled armored vehicle and the next-generation tank concept model. They offered virtual experiences of the next-generation tank through AR and VR zones.
