Japan Takes Measures to Expand Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure


The Japanese government has announced its goal, through the Green Growth Strategy, to install a total of 150,000 charging infrastructures, including 30,000 fast chargers for electric vehicles by 2030.


Direction of Implementation

1. Enhancement of fast charger high-power output and expansion.
2. Utilizing subsidy programs to expand the installation of regular chargers.
3. Regulation adjustments and the introduction of charging fee structures are planned.
