New KC Safety Standards for Household Battery Chargers: Are You Ready?

The KC safety standards for electrical appliances, KC 60335-2-29 (Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-29Particular requirements for battery chargers), have been revised. Key changes include expanded ripple-free DC output voltage range and refined charger type classifications to align with updated international standards, under Notification No. 2026-23. The new standards take effect immediately, effective on February 5, 2026.

Note: Existing Safety standards remain in parallel until February 5, 2027.
