Korea’s RRA Seeks Opinions on the Partial Revision of Wireless Equipment Conformity Assessment Test Method

The RRA (National Radio Research Agency) is seeking opinions on the partial revision of the KS X 3123 Wireless Equipment Conformity Assessment Test Method Standard, which includes the establishment of a new wireless test method for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication wireless equipment (earth stations). The public comment period is open until March 17, 2025.

Key Revisions
  • General Matters and Operating Conditions: Specifies applicable equipment, rated voltage, required manufacturer-provided information, and operating conditions of the equipment during testing.
  • Conducted Testing: Defines the test method for measuring the electrical characteristics of radio waves supplied up to the antenna front end.
  • Radiated Testing: Specifies the test method for measuring the same parameters as the conducted test under radiated test site conditions.
