Korea’s MSIT Revises Notification on Wireless Devices
Effective March 27, 2025

On March 27, 2025, the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) in South Korea revised the technical standards for wireless devices exempt from reporting requirements.

This revision is intended to ease regulations on industrial wireless devices used in vehicle management and firefighting, thereby enhancing market accessibility, user convenience, and product adoption.

Key Revisions
• Expansion of the use of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
• Relaxation of regulations for low-power repeaters in firefighting operations
• Permission for external power supply lines in wireless fire alarm systems
