Vietnam Authorizes 6GHz Spectrum for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7

On March 31, 2025, Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) issued Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN, amending portions of Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT.

The revision introduces a new frequency allocation plan that includes the 6GHz Wi-Fi band (5925–6425 MHz), paving the way for the use of next-generation Wi-Fi technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 in Vietnam.

In addition, MST has newly allocated the 315–400 kHz frequency range for wireless charging devices and updated the relevant spurious emission limits. These regulatory changes will come into effect on May 15, 2025.
