EU Updates Harmonised Standards under the RED
On
May 14, 2025, the European Commission adopted Implementing Decision (EU)
2025/893, updating the list of harmonised standards under the Radio Equipment
Directive (RED). This update ensures that radio equipment in the EU market
continues to meet the latest safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and
spectrum efficiency requirements.

- EN 301 406-2 V3.1.1 - DECT (digital cordless telecommunication)
- EN 301 489-3 V2.3.2 - EMC for short range devices (SRD)
- EN 301 489-17 V3.3.1 - EMC for broadband data transmission systems
- EN 301 489-19 V2.2.1 - EMC for satellite systems
- EN 301 489-54 V1.1.1 - EMC for ultra-wideband equipment
- EN 301 908-23 V15.1.1, EN 301 908-24 V15.1.1, EN 301 908-25 V15.1.1 - IMT user equipment for LTE, 5G NR, and combined technologies
- EN 303 363-2 V1.1.1 - satellite earth stations below 3 GHz
- EN 303 661 V1.1.1 - radar sensors operating in 76–77 GHz band
- EN 303 687 V1.1.1 - WAS/RLAN in 6 GHz band
- EN 303 753 V1.1.1 - additional conditions for WAS/RLAN in 5 GHz band
- EN 304 220-1 V1.2.1, EN 304 220-2 V1.2.1 - wideband data transmission devices
- EN 301 489-52 V1.3.1 - EMC for LTE user equipment
- EN 301 893 V2.2.1 - WAS/RLAN in 5 GHz band
- EN 301 908-3 V15.1.1 - IMT base stations
- EN 301 908-13 V13.3.1 - IMT repeaters
- EN 302 064 V2.2.1 - fixed radio systems
- EN 303 213-5-1 V2.1.1 - aeronautical surveillance systems
Most standards are valid until November 15, 2026, except for EN 301 893 V2.1.1, which is valid until May 15, 2028, for 5 GHz wireless access systems.
