Korea Updates EMC Standards for PSD Sensors, Effective July 2026
On
December 31, 2025, the National Radio Research Agency (RRA) issued Notification No. 2025-22, amending part
of the EMC standards as a public safety measure in response to malfunction
issues of platform screen door (PSD) sensors caused by broadband 5G mobile
communication signals. The amendment aims to ensure the broadband radiation
immunity of PSD laser sensors (or LiDAR sensors).
This notification will take effect on July 1, 2026.
