Registration of Conformity

Conformity Registration is one of the approval types under the Radio Research Agency (RRA) Conformity Assessment Scheme. It applies to broadcasting and communication equipment that presents a relatively lower risk of radio interference and electromagnetic hazards than equipment subject to Conformity Certification. It is a mandatory certification scheme requiring registration through testing conducted by designated test laboratories.

 
1. Target Devices

ISM products using high frequency, audio/video products (TV, Amplifier, CCTV camera), household appliances (vacuum cleaner, washing machine, electric oven, mixer, air purifier), ITE products (computers and internal components (HDD, mainboard), keyboard and mouse) and office products,
Wi-Fi & BT products (certification or registration), RFID devices (433MHz & 13.56MHz), low-power wireless devices, wired equipment (terminal equipment (telephone, fax machine, modem), key phone system), lift, firefighting products, AC adapter (or battery charger), electric bicycle, etc.


2. Key Process

Testing

Tested by designated test laboratories (including Korea-MRA laboratories in the USA and FTA laboratories in Europe)

Review

Review by RRA for 1 working day

3. Required Documents

Documents Submitted to RRA

Application Form (electronic method)

Conformity Confirmation Letter

POA (Power of Attorney)

Documents to be retained by the local representative (not required to be submitted to RRA)

Conformity Confirmation Letter

POA (Power of Attorney)

Test Reports

External Drawing or Photos

- Clearly showing the front and rear sides of the product, connection interfaces, and label

Components/Parts Placement (Layout) Drawing or Photos

- Possible to see part number and/or specifications

Schematics - not required for equipment subject to EMC requirements only

User Manual (English is ok) - Class A equipment shall include following information.

This device has been evaluated for use in a work environment. Use in a home environment may cause radio interference.







4. Labeling Requirements

The following information shall be indicated on the product or its packaging

KC Mark

Product Name

Model Name

KC ID (e.g., R-R-Company Code-Product Code)

Applicant (Certificate Holder) Name

Manufacturing Date (year and month or Lot number composed of year and month of manufacture)

Manufacturer and Manufacturing Country (Country of Origin)
